I went to Peru in the summer of 2019 on our global healthcare EPIC. I stayed in Huancayo for one week learning about hospital systems and shadowing local doctors while working on local health projects at night. Next, we went to La Merced and learned about rural medicine while continuing some of our previous healthcare projects. Finally, we went to Cusco, where we learned about holistic medicine and Peruvian culture, and also had the chance to see Macchu Pichu!

I chose Earlham because it allows you to expand your worldview and truly challenge yourself to grow as both an individual and an academic. Also, there are so many opportunities to get involved in things, whether it's with classes, committees, or research!
