I chose Earlham College because I wanted a new challenge that couldn’t be given to me by studying in my own country. I knew I was ready to be more independent and promote my interests in a multicultural society. So, it was just a matter of what would be right for me. From my research around the college, I realized that the Earlham community is vibrant with students who are driven to discover their passions. I was astonished by the endless opportunities offered for its students to pursue their dreams, and it became clear to me that Earlham is the ideal place for me to develop into the person I wanted to become. Furthermore, I chose Earlham because of its outstanding international reputation. I’m also eager to continue studying in English in a multicultural environment to extend on my experiences at the UWC. The experiences I’ve had at UWC-RBC have also shaped my decision to apply to Earlham, where I will be able to put the things I’ve learned into practice and develop my skills even further.
I did not use my EPIC Advantage yet. However, I'm planning on using it medical-related internship or a research opportunity! Also, being a part of the Honors program, I have the opportunity to get a second EPIC! I am thinking of using it to cover my expenses of visiting an attending interviews at medical schools during my senior year.
I’ve had several outstanding professors during my time here at Earlham, yet one of my favorites is one with whom I am now enrolled in one of my minor classes. She’s a fantastic professor and always challenges the students to learn more and research. Not everyone likes her due to her very joyful and organized lectures. But I can say that I’ve learned the most from her because of how she ties the classroom material into real-life examples.
